Christmas concert 2019_5.jpg

Our new director as of September 2019, Sheresa Wilbanks, has retired from her 26 years being a high school choral director. She graduated from University of Northern Colorado with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education and a Master of Arts in Education and Administration from the University of Phoenix.

Sheresa has had a rich and diverse teaching career ranging from teaching in mountain, inner city, and suburban schools. She also has directed numerous plays and musicals and served as director to several church choirs as well as the Dickens Carolers in Vail, Colorado. She has served as the adjudicator and clinician for several honor choirs and festivals in Colorado. Sheresa has been fortunate to have had four choirs invited to sing at the Colorado Music Educators Clinic Conference.

Sheresa is excited to become the director of the High Plains Singers and looking forward to continuing the great tradition of the choir. She is grateful for her supportive sons, Chase and Kellan, and her husband of 36 years, Tim.

Accompanist, Tia Bowen

.

Tia began as an accompanist for the High Plains Singers in 1996. She is a valuable asset to all of us who sing with the High Plains Singers.
